Electric heaters for bathrooms

Also referred to as space heaters, electric heaters come in varied styles, sizes and shapes. They have become quite popular with a majority of modern homes today. Additionally, they don’t require too much effort to maintain them, thus it explains their skyrocketing popularity. There are numerous kinds of electric heaters available in the market that are designed for varied purposes. For instance, there are heaters such as portable electric heaters that are usually small in size and have moveable features, the baseboard heaters which utilize convection heating technology to heat up a room and electric space heaters that are very efficient in heating up small spaces such as bathrooms.

Normally, these space heaters come with either a fan inside or an electric coil. Baseboard heaters have a safety thermal device that controls the heat and will automatically turn off the device when it overheats or the room becomes too hot. Similarly, when a room becomes too cold, the device turns on automatically and heats up the room to the required temperatures.  Below is an analysis of some electric heaters for bathrooms.

Fan forced convection heaters

Fan forced convection heaters utilize a small fan to draw and force or blow air past some heated coils and out into the space that is being heated up. They are quite inexpensive and compact, thus can fit well into limited spaces such as bathrooms. A fan forced convection heater warms a room comparatively quickly due to fact that cold air is forced past the heating coils as opposed to being allowed to circulate all over naturally. One of its disadvantages is that it makes a room feel quite drafty due to the swiftly moving air and the way it distributes the heat. The area nearest the heater naturally gets warmer than the spaces farther away, thus it may take some time before the whole bathroom is heated up.

Most fan forced convection heaters come equipped with timers that permit users to set timings of high heat or low heat; letting the heater to shut off automatically when not in use. The heater is designed to be safely usable in all conditions (humid or non humid) and comes equipped with a lint filter that minimizes its general maintenance costs.

Infrared bathroom heaters

Currently, the special infrared bathroom heaters have gained a major foothold in the bathroom heating systems’ market the world over and for a good reason. They are very effective when it comes to energy saving, on top of being beneficial to their user’s health. Indeed, physical therapy clinics and medical centers all around the globe have realized their importance and are even utilizing them for advanced medical therapies.

Infrared bathroom heaters are in essence advanced equipments that transfer infrared heat to objects that are directly in front of them. This type of a heat transfer has two advantages; efficiency and cost savings. In contrast to a typical heater, where the surrounding air is heated up then transferred into your body, infrared rays only heat the objects in front of them, thus reducing the amount of heat lost during the heating up process. This allows the heater to operate at lower temperatures and work effectively.
