Ceiling Electric Heaters

Traditionally, people used to rely on efficient heaters in the form of gas heaters to warm their home or garage. Yet, those gas heaters were soon out of the game.  With the introduction of electric heaters, who wants those heaters anymore? Gas heaters (e.g. propane heater) emit exhaust containing carbon monoxide, which is bad for the environment and carries a bad odor. The fumes were bad, the noise was loud, and the heater will stop when gas runs out. That is why electric heaters kicked them out of the scene.

Instead of using gas as fuel, ceiling electric heaters converts electrical energy to heat energy. Usually, ceiling electric heaters adopt the fan forced principle. Within the heater there is an electric fan that can speed up airflow, reducing thermal resistance between the heating element and the heater’s surroundings at a faster rate, allowing a quicker transfer of heat.

Where are ceiling electric heaters used?

Nowadays, the most common place for the installation of ceiling electric heaters is the garage. As the space in a garage is limited due to a large amount of exposed items, and lack of wall space as it has a lot of shelves, ceiling electric heaters are just nice, as they can be installed on the ceiling.

For some old buildings, they lack heating systems in certain rooms, especially the bathroom. So, nowadays, people install ceiling electric heaters in those rooms, to keep warm in the cold weather.

Currently, since the price of ceiling electric heaters have become so affordable, it is to the user’s choice to install them anywhere, as they are easy to get and easy to install. As long as you follow the clearance instructions clearly, they can be installed to warm any living or working space.

A thermostat incorporated into the heating system also adds to the safety features of a ceiling electric heater. When the set temperature is reached, the system will be shut off automatically, in order to prevent overheating, and saves your electricity costs at the same time.

Safety-wise, ceiling electric heaters are much safer, as the heat level can be adjusted and controlled.
